Implementation activities are now underway and we will assume full responsibility for the claims processing work in this jurisdiction on May 4, 2009 for Alabama Part B providers, May 18, 2009 for Alabama Part A providers and August 3, 2009 for Georgia Part B providers. Our top priority is to ensure a smooth transition with minimal disruptions to health care providers. Over the next several months, Cahaba GBA will work to identify potential changes as a result of any new J10 A/B MAC contract requirements. We have also launched a comprehensive communications campaign to inform Medicare stakeholders of the latest implementation news and activities.
