Two National PT Month presentations available for Alabama PTs and PTAs

Last year, the Alabama Chapter's Publicity and Communications Committee created a presentation concerning backpack safety for children to be used by Chapter members interested in presenting to Parent/teacher organizations of similar groups during national PT month (October). The presentation included PowerPoint Slides, a script and handouts. Chapter members also were provided a backpack with the Chapter logo embroidered on it to give away as a "door prize." These materials are available again for  2009 PT month activities. To access this presentation, click on the highlighted letters above. To receive a backpack for the presentation, contact Chapter President, David Morris at morrisd@uab.edu (supplies are limited so request your backpack early). In addition to the backpack safety presentation, the Publicity and Communications Committee plans to make another presentation available. The second presenation will target improving fitness for middle-aged women with busy lifestyles. The presenation, titled "On th e Go," will be available to  Chapter mebmers by late September. While these presentation are intended to be used during National PT Month, Chapter members are encouraged to use them at anytime they have an audience interested in learning more about physical therapy.
