What is Physical Therapy?

Do I need a physician referral?

Yes and no. Currently, Physical Therapists in Alabama have limited “direct access”. This means your Physical Therapist can see you for a limited amount of time before they need to request a physician referral. This is typically around 30 days, depending on insurance and your condition.

What conditions can a Physical Therapist help me with?
